Campomanes Bay Vacation

Finally, after four long years, I was able to visit this beautiful place again.
Together with my husband and my 4 year old son, we traveled from Manila to Negros to see one of nature's best kept secret.

Campomanes Bay Resort is situated in Maricalum, Sipalay, Negros Occidental, facing Sulu Sea.
The Bay is now declared a Marine Reserve and hence requires a Bantay Dagat (Bay Watch) to regulate development and movement in Campomanes Bay as well as provide marine protection. Campomanes Bay also hosts the City's Ecoport and two shipwreck sites, both of which can be used for marine tourism.

Campomanes Bay is excellent not only for diving but for jet skiing, kayaking, and all sorts of water sports. It has an existing port that caters to medium-sized sea craft. The enclosed shape of the bay and islets in its opening provide calm waters even in harsh weather conditions. Entrance to the bay is a wide expanse of coral garden with various species of corals and fish.

The best thing here is my husband is related to the owners of Campomanes Bay Resort, which is super fun of course! :)

Here are some pictures of th cottages/huts inside the Resort.

How to get there?

Fly from Manila to Bacolod. From Silay-Bacolod International Airport, Take a Shuttle Van going to SM Bacolod. Tell driver to drop you off Ceres Bus Terminal "South".
Ride the trip going to Hinoba-an. Aircon Bus going to Hinoba-an leaves the terminal at 12:00 noon. Tell driver you are going to Crossing Maricalum, Sipalay. Or simply tell you are going to Campomanes. Be sure to fill your stomach before taking the bus,
road trip from Bacolod to Campomanes is 5 hours long so better pack up with lots of snacks so that you'll never go hungry. :)
Upon reaching Crossing Maricalum, you will then take a tricycle going to the Bay Resort. The route going to the resort is 5kms. which usually takes 10-15 minutes. The Resort is very clean and serene, the peaceful place will make you feel one with nature and will relax your tired senses.

Shuttle Van (silay to bacolod) PHP 100.00/150.00
Bus Fare (bacolod to crossing, maricalum - 177 kms.) PHP 244.00
